The "Sokil" Ukrainian Dance Ensemble from Stockport achieved a fantastic runner's-up spot in the Choreographed Folk Dance Competition at this year's Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Finishing second to Northern Ireland's "Loughgiel Folk Dancers", Sokil's performance of Chumaky scored a high 88 points from the judging panel, edging out Scotland's "Corryvrechan" into third place and "Kalynonka" from Ukraine into fourth spot.
Well done to all dancers, choreographers and musicians of "Sokil" for such a spirited performance and great achievement!!!
