Delegates from as far north as Edinburgh took part in the AUGB's 65th Annual General Meeting, which was held in London on Saturday and was very ably hosted by the Association's local London Branch.
The meeting was addressed by the outgoing Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, Dr. Ihor Kharchenko, the Apostolic Administrator for Ukrainian Catholics in GB, Bishop Hlib Lonchyna, a representative of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in GB, Rev. Yevhen Stasiuk and one of the founding members of the AUGB, Wasyl Oleskiw.
The event was chaired by Marian Kosmirak, assisted by Roman Leschyshyn, and included reports from the outgoing AUGB President - Zenko Lastowiecki, CEO - Fedir Kurlak, the Finance Control Committee and the AUGB's Tribunal (Mediation Committee).
During the meeting, Dr Lubomyr Mazur was thanked for his services and is succeeded by Wasyl Oleskiw, who was elected Honorary President of the AUGB for 2010-11.
Zenko Lastowiecki was re-elected President of the AUGB for a fourth term.

Iryna Terlecky presented the AUGB’s Tax Strategy which will need to be implemented by the end of this year. All Branches represented at the AGM received full written details. (Those Branches who were not represented will receive hard copies of the same through the post.)
Annual Membership subscriptions will rise to £12 p.a. from 1 January 2011. The concessionary rate has also been increased to £6 p.a.
The AGM added clauses to a draft text and approved a new rulebook for the Finance Control Committee.
The AUGB’s General Council has also been tasked to prepare proposals to introduce changes to the Memorandum & Articles of Association (for consideration at the next AGM).
