New Zealand

The Ukrainian community in New Zealand is relatively small, but no less active for that. In 2007, through their efforts, a commemorative limited edition stamp was issued – the first Holodomor commemorative stamp to be issued anywhere in the world.

On Saturday 10 May New Zealand’s Ukrainian Community planted in excess of 1200 trees in Shakespeare’s - Orewa National Park, Auckland to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33.
